How to Get Your Textbooks for Cheap!

As if college isn’t expensive enough with tuition and other fees you have to pay, you are expected to purchase your own textbooks. This was much different than high school, and I learned just how fast purchasing all of your textbooks can quickly add up to a large sum of cash. Not to mention that you typically only use them for one semester and then have little to no use of them afterward. My first semester I went to purchase my textbooks from our school bookstore and the total was near $1000. čś│ I knew textbooks were expensive┬ábut I couldn’t believe that they were THAT expensive. So, I set out to find a way to save some money and get my textbooks cheaper. I came across a website that turned out to be an actual life saver. By using this site, I got my total for the textbooks down to around $200 which was absolutely amazing to me. Now, I’m not saying that you will always get this drastic amount of savings by using this website, but you should get a very good deal at the least. The way that the website works is you type in the ISBN number of the textbook you are looking for and it pulls up a list of all the sellers of this textbook and lists them from lowest price to highest. You can use filters for whether you want to purchase a textbook or rent it, whether you are looking for a used or new textbook, and even if you are looking for an e-book version. It literally does all the work for you and that’s nice because let’s be real, it’s nice to be lazy sometimes. Especially when you are on the brink of a new semester starting. Another tip for saving money is to rent your textbooks instead of buying them. This is obviously a personal preference, but by renting instead of purchasing you can save a large amount of money. I rented all of my textbooks last semester and it was a very easy and smooth process. They ship the books to you and once your semester ends, you package them up in the box they sent the books in (or any other box you can find), and use the FREE shipping label they provide you to return the textbooks. You just bring the box to your local post office and they ship it for you. It is honestly so easy! I understand that some may be skeptical about trying new things, especially when they are so used to doing things a certain way, but I highly recommend you give this a shot if you are needing to purchase textbooks! If anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to ask me in the comments and I will be certain to get back with you! I hope you all have a blessed day!
