Hey, guys! Today I am doing a review of the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. I’ve been using it for a while and I thought I would let everyone know what I think. Let me know if you’ve tried this foundation, and what you thought about it. I hope you enjoy!
Shade Range. This foundation has a whopping 32 shades. I think Maybelline did an awesome job at creating shades for both light and deep skin tones, as well as the different undertones. With this wide of a shade range, I would bet that everyone will be able to find a foundation that will work for them. I am giving this category a score of 10.
Price. I feel like this foundation is very fairly priced. It retails for $7.99, but you can find it priced at higher or lower depending on where you look. It really pays off to do your research before purchasing a foundation. I typically purchase this from Walmart, where it is priced at $5.94. I feel like that is an unbeatable price, especially because of how well the foundation works for me. You definitely get your money’s worth. This category easily earns a score of 10.
Blendability. This foundation blends as good or better than any other foundation I’ve tried. It is more of a thin, runny consistency which I think contributes to this factor. I’ve tried blending this foundation with both a brush and a beauty sponge and both work extremely well, so the choice is yours.(*This foundation doesn’t come with a pump. Be careful when pouring it out of the bottle because it tends to run out quickly.) The foundation dries down to more of a demi-matte finish instead of matte, but it isn’t shiny or dewy. I think the finish looks very natural. I personally set it with a powder like I do with all foundations, but that is up to you. Because of the easy blending, I’m giving this category a score of 9.
Coverage. This foundation has medium to full coverage. I have acne, acne scarring, and redness and it covers almost everything with one coat. Occasionally, I may have to dab on a little extra if I have an extra pesky blemish at the time. I was so surprised with how the foundation covered, considering how thin and lightweight it was. I am giving this category a score of 8.
Longevity. Finally. One of the most important categories in my book. When I wear makeup, I typically have it on for quite a while, so I really depend on my foundation to be able to last. Also, because I have oily skin, I need a foundation that can hold up through my oils, and not break apart and become patchy. This foundation doesn’t last as long as some of the others I have tried, but it does do a decent job. I don’t notice it breaking apart or rubbing off until about 8 or 9 hours after application. It does start to get a little oily after a few hours of wear, but then again most foundations do with my skin. I just make sure to carry oil sheets or tissues with me and blot a couple of times throughout the day and I’m good to go. I am giving this category a score of 6.
-10:30 AM. Right after application. (with powder)
-4:30 PM. 6 hours after application. (Oils coming through. I blotted right after this.)
– 8:00 PM. 9.5 hours after application. (Oils coming through. Starting to separate slightly.)
This foundation receives an overall score of 8.6. This means the foundation receives a “B” rating.
So that concludes my foundation review for today. I would love to hear about your experience with this foundation. Also, let me know what foundation you would like me to review next. I look forward to talking to you all next time!
