Oily Skin Must Haves

Hey, guys! I’m so excited to be here today! I have super oily skin and it can be hard to find products that will work for me. I decided I would make a post about some of my favorite products for oily skin (some old favorites and some new). Sorry for my readers who have dry skin. 🙁 Since I don’t have dry skin, I can’t really recommend products for you. But if you have oily skin, I hope you find this post useful. Hopefully, you can find some new products to try out on my list of oily skin must haves.

  1. Simple Skincare Replenishing Rich Moisturizer($10)-This is a product that I picked up recently, but I already love it. It’s super light-weight but feels so amazing on the skin. It really soaks into the skin so it does awesome under makeup. You also don’t need to use much as a little goes a long way. It doesn’t make my face feel greasy or oily at all which is a must for me. I really recommend this to my oily skin girls who want a light, but moisturizing product to use daily.
  2. ELF Daily Hydration Moisturizer ($8)- This is another moisturizer that I really like. I recently finished the bottle which I think says a lot. While I really liked using this moisturizer, I think I like the one by Simple Skincare a little better. I feel like the Simple one soaks into the skin better. With that being said, this moisturizer is also really light as well. I think this moisturizer would work with any skin type because even though it’s lightweight, it’s super moisturizing as well.
  3. Simple Skincare Soothing Facial Toner($6)- I never really used toners much before picking up this product. The reason for this was because the times that I did use toner, it was a really cheap one that had a high alcohol content. I remember how it burned on my skin and I hated it, so I decided I would stop using them. I didn’t understand why or how people could stand to use such a terrible product regularly. Fortunately for me, I came across a YouTube video of a girl (I don’t remember who 🙁 ) who was talking about this product and how it has no alcohol so it didn’t burn your skin. I didn’t realize there was such a thing as toners without alcohol. I picked it up they next time I was at Walmart and I immediately fell in love with it. I was amazed that it didn’t hurt or burn my skin in even the slightest way. I now use toners regularly, and I feel like they truly make a difference on my acne and my oily skin.
  4. No7 Beautifully Matte Makeup Base($12)- A good primer is essential when you have oily skin. It can make sure that your makeup isn’t going to slide off of your face throughout the day which is the last thing I want. I spend a good amount of time applying makeup in the morning, and I don’t want it to disappear halfway through the day. This is the best primer I have ever tried for my super oily skin. It’s one of the only things that can control shine and hold my makeup steady. I can’t say enough good things about this product. If you have oily skin, go to Target or Ulta and pick this up to try it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed. I’ve used multiple tubes of this and plan to continue repurchasing.
  5. L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation($12)- I actually have done a complete review on this foundation already, so if you’d like to read it click here. This foundation is my favorite drugstore foundation as of right now. I have been using it for many months and will continue to use it because it is so good at controlling shine and oil. I have multiple shades for when I’m pale and when I’m tanned. I think it is worth every penny. If you haven’t tried this foundation yet, do yourself a favor and go pick it up like right now.
  6. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation($6)- This is another foundation that I have done a complete review one. It also has pictures so you can see how it wore on me throughout the day. Check it out here if you haven’t already. It’s super light and great for the summer, and it also does a good job at controlling shine. It isn’t as full coverage as the Infallible foundation, but it’s an awesome foundation for a great price.
  7. Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation($41)- This foundation is my favorite high-end foundation. It’s one of the best foundations I have tried at controlling oil and lasting all day. I feel like it’s pretty comparable to the Infallible foundation. So if you’d like to try this foundation, maybe try the Infallible Pro-Matte first to see if you like that one. If so, then maybe splurge for this one. One of my favorite things about this foundation is that it is water resistant! Try this out if you have the extra money to spend. I bet you’ll love it!
  8. Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder($6)- This powder was raved about for this longest time, so I was suckered into picking it up myself. It’s great for baking, but you can also use it as a setting powder. I feel like it does a great job at making my makeup completely matte, which I adore. The powder comes with a lot of product and will last you a very long time (or at least it has for me). It’s pretty affordable as well which is great. Check this out if you want a new loose powder in your life!
  9. Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder($4)- This pressed powder is one of my favorites! It’s so affordable and works so well. I used it to set my whole face after I apply my liquid face products, like foundation and concealer. You really can’t go wrong with this pressed powder. (I put a picture of the back because the front is cracked pretty bad🙈).
  10. Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray($31)- I originally picked up the travel size version of this product from Sephora, but as soon as I ran out, I went back to pick up the full-size product. This makes a world of difference when I do my makeup, and is worth every penny. I spray this all over my face after I’ve completed all of my makeup and I swear it’s like glue. I know that when I apply this, my makeup will last basically all day. I still can get a little shiny throughout the day, but that’s nothing a blotting sheet can’t fix. Definitely, give this product a shot when you get the chance.
  11. Blotting Sheets (varies)- Blotting sheets are one of my all time favorite products. They are so convenient to carry around in your wallet or purse when you’re on the go, but they help so much with making your makeup stay looking fresh and lasting all day. You can get affordable ones from Walmart or more expensive ones from Sephora. The ones in the picture are two that are my favorites. The Clean and Clear oil absorbing sheets you can pick up from Walmart for less than $5. I have gone through more packages than I can count. I love them and will continue to repurchase them. If you haven’t ever tried blotting sheets, you’re really missing out. Do yourself a favor and go pick some up!

I hope that you guys enjoyed this post of oily skin must haves and found some new products to try out. Let me know some of your favorite products in the comments so I can check them out! Thanks so much for stopping by!
